JCJW's Wedding

It was Jeannie and Jit Wee's wedding party on 25 September.

(I know, so behind time with my blog posting!)

It's such a pity because I didn't have time to do a "studio shot" of the cake at home before delivering the cake. I then thought I would take loads at the party venue, Passion Road, but I didn't have a good camera to snap pictures from a distance, so I don't have a clear picture of the front view of the cake to show.

The Macbook - there were 2 laptops telling the story of the distance love. Therefore, Skype was their best friend :)

The cake tower consist of 2 layers of medium cupcakes and a 2 tier cake of 8 and 6 inches at the top

Hydrangea in lilac

Took these with my iPhone at home...

On the other hand, I DO have great pictures of the favours. Made about 220 ish mini cupcakes in wire baskets as the gift. The note were supplied by the bride

Congratulations again to Shiun Yan and Jit Wee, may you live happily ever after, just like the fairy tales :)

Timmy Time

This was a picture taken during the making... I don't have much good pictures for this order because I was in a hurry to snap the pictures at 2.30am. I was back that night from a wedding party to decorate this cake after a unfortunate incident... anyways, Cheryl was one of the first people I wanted to call, to tell her I can't make the "table" and "chair" due to the incident which I had to attend to the night before delivering this cake.

Luckily Cheryl was okay with the missing table and chair. The rest of the characters were made in advance, so they were all there for Ryan. :)

Timmy Time the sheep

Mittens the cat

Yabba the duck

Otus the Owl

A "blackboard"
And I think Timmy Time is related to Shaun the sheep (as mentioned my Amal on FB haha...)
Happy birthday Ryan!

A Chinese Wedding

ICCA had organized an Annual Cake Decorating competition at Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara on 1 - 3 October, it included wedding cake decorating, teen category and kids cupcake decorating.

This was the piece I submitted for the competition. It's way below competition standard but it was a great experience. Plus I get to hear personal feedback directly from the international celebrity cake decorators, which was priceless!

Really grateful that ICCA organized this event and that I had a chance to enter the competition. At least my cake got to be displayed in public and from what I saw, pictures of the cake were taken by a lot of cameras :)

The wedding couple figurines. Given more time, I will make them their head gears, and add more details for the costumes.

The top layer of the cake as the bed, with pillows and comforter.

Brush embroidery, which needs to be refined.

Chinese buttons and knots.

Pictures of the competition at Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara, is in my FB (personal) picture profile.

Barney and Friends

This was an order by Joanne via email. Actually I don't think I know Joanne personally, and my cousin Alex had delivered this for me because I had a Raya open house to go to, so never got to meet Joanne. Hopefully next time :)

Barney

BJ (correct? I forgot who's who...)

Baby Bob

Happy birthday Marcus!

Hope you've had a great celebration with Barney and friends ;)

A BlackBerry Birthday

One of my girl friends ordered this for her sis in law and her birthday. She needed to bring this cake back to Kuching, therefore she requested for a slightly down sized cake. And she is not an iPhone fan :), so her cake is with a BlackBerry.

I'd followed the keypad arrangement as close as I could, but I can't really see the description of some of those keys on the web.
The birthday message on phone screen (note to self to make a thinner looking "screen")

Happy birthday Eve! Hope you have had a great time with your boys!
