Baby shower cupcakes for Aunt Avtar

It's my own record breaking by making so many pairs of baby booties. Made 51 pairs to be exact, in about 3 and a half hours. They are just so cute but bro in law said he's going mad by just looking at so much pink. Hehe... guess maybe that's why he'd dressed baby Emily in blue just now. Okay, it's a change to see so much blue instead of pink on the baby.

Ohh... back to the post. Aunt Avtar order this a month ago for baby shower give aways. I heard one of her grandchild is back for her first time from overseas and most relatives will be seeing her for the first time.

The cupcakes were packed in boxes of 8 pieces each.

Pre-Christmas baking

Christmas is here!!

Started some Christmas baking with English scones and some biscotti. Actually the reason for the scones is that the mini jams are just too cute and very festive. :)

Biscotti is kind of a must and since the recipient of this present mentioned biscotti when I mentioned Christmas present, here's the biscotti. Something more Christmasy so instead of my usual almond chocolate biscotti, I made this with the green and red colour - almond, pistachio, cranberries and raisins. Taster said it's not as crunchy but nice. I supposed the fruits made certain part more moist, I was also being careful not to over bake it in case it got too hard.

Merry Christmas in advance. :)

For sis...

Okay sis, bet you haven't seen what you've ordered right? Here's the one for Badrul. Pictures not looking that great because it was midnight and I completed this only after dinner appointment. Thank goodness I had Alex and Siew Lee to help out. :)

Mum commented that this is like a Japanese village.

Chocolate cake tied up with ribbons

Aunty Elvy ordered this for one of the birthday celebrations in her office. Brainstorming with aunt didn't help with finalizing a design for the cake, and I don't feel like making another TTB so soon, so I suggested the gift wrap but just the ribbon minus the "wrapping paper".

The result was this and I heard that the birthday girl loved it so much that she tried to "save" the ribbon and was cutting around the ribbon to share the cake.

I'm one happy baker after receiving my aunt's sms about this. Above moist chocolate cake with milk chocolate icing, tired with pink ribbons with little red flower designs.

Little Emily's Full Moon Party

Emily, my little niece (first child of my only sister), celebrated her one month old last Monday and the party was last Saturday. Yeah, after the robbery case at home on Friday. Sigh... but little Emily has been a comfort to everyone, though traumatized but her presence gave everyone the warmth.

Sis has requested for the same design as Erwin's wedding cupcakes for Emily's full moon party, only hers will be colourful and well, pink.

The cupcakes were placed at the dining table together with the red eggs and pickled ginger sis prepared.

Also prepared a pack for the restaurant senior manager, who's one of our close friends who can't join the dinner.

Pictures of Emily's full moon party is in Facebook :)

ps. Nope, red egg is not in the TeaRoom order list :p

Erwin and Elizabeth's Wedding

For Erwin and Elizabeth's wedding

The cupcake designs were given by Erwin after a few rounds of brainstorming. Since their theme was gold, I've suggested the yellow and gold colour palette.

Smooth butter icing and butter icing rosettes sprinkled with silver balls

Also with the package...

And a complimentary wedding cake from TeaRoom

Fondant lightly dusted with gold and dotted with pearls

Erwin and Elizabeth have specially requested for appearance of TTB :)

Congratulations to Erwin and Elizabeth. May you live happily ever after.
